As part of our HERstory campaign, we bring together our inspiring female foundxrs for an intimate evening centred on thoughtful conversation, meaningful connection, and exceptional food.
This year, we gather at Mercato, where member Mehak Kansal will curate a vibrant dining experience that reflects her confident, modern approach to Indian cuisine.

Mehak Kansal is a former property developer turned self-taught chef, entrepreneur, and author whose journey into food has been anything but conventional. Raised in the Wiltshire countryside and shaped by formative summers in her family home in India, she developed an early appreciation for seasonal produce and deeply rooted home cooking.

Her career pivot into the culinary world quickly gained momentum after she was awarded the 2018 Westfield Food Entrepreneur Award, which led to mentorship from renowned Spanish chef Omar Allibhoy and a sell-out pop-up at Westfield White City. Since then, Mehak has built a loyal following through sought-after supper clubs, private dining experiences, and masterclasses hosted at some of London’s most respected private members' clubs, including Soho House and the RAC.

Following a successful two-year Mayfair pop-up, she is now the founder of Bindas at Mercato Metropolitano Mayfair, where she continues to champion bold, expressive Indian flavours through a distinctly modern lens, with plans for further expansion ahead.
